Hello! My name is Caitlyn Wilkerson and I am from Louisville, Kentucky. I am currently a special education teacher at Maryhurst Academy which houses girls (age 11 - 18) in the foster care system. We help them graduate high school as well as prepare them for life after Maryhurst. I couldn't imagine teaching anywhere else! I am a graduate of Western Kentucky University where I earned my BA in Psychology. I am also a graduate of the University of the Cumberlands where I earned my MA in Special Education. I am currently taking more classes through UofC to obtain my Rank I in School Counseling. Before teaching I worked in a behavioral hospital as a Mental Health Associate; it was awesome and I learned so much! I also worked as a high school boy's varsity golf coach. I was a state championship golfer in high school and went on to play both Division 1 and NAIA in college. I love teaching and thought this would be a great part time job for me during the pandemic!
